HISP Rwanda proudly participated in the Science of Defeating Malaria (SDM) 2025 leadership course, held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Kigali. The event brought together experts, policymakers, and implementers from across Africa and beyond to explore innovative strategies in the fight against malaria.
As part of the technical sessions on Community Surveillance, HISP Rwanda presented how community health workers in Rwanda are using digital tools to collect and visualize real-time health data. This innovative approach is enabling faster, more informed decision-making at all levels of the healthcare system—ultimately strengthening disease detection and response in communities.
Our participation not only showcased Rwanda’s progress in digital health transformation but also emphasized HISP Rwanda’s commitment to empowering frontline health workers through practical, data-driven technologies. By demonstrating scalable, real-world applications of DHIS2 and mobile data tools, HISP Rwanda reaffirmed its role in supporting countries to improve public health through digital innovation. END
