PAST EVENTS
The End-to-End Supply Chain Management Academy with DHIS2 and mSupply officially concluded yesterday in Kigali!
After five impactful days of learning and hands-on practice, the first physical edition of this academy successfully came to an end. Organised by the University of Oslo, mSupply, and HISP Rwanda, the training brought together 33 participants from 12 countries, representing Ministries of Health and private organizations, all committed to strengthening last-mile supply chain visibility using DHIS2 integrated with mSupply.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Venuste Nsanzumuhire, CEO of HISP Rwanda, who commended participants for their dedication and collaboration throughout the week.
A heartfelt thank you to all partners, facilitators, and participants for making this first in-person edition a success. The insights and connections built here will continue to drive better use of logistics data across health systems.

VISUALIZING DATA IN DHIS2 ACADEMY (From 11–15 August 2025 in Kigali )
The Data Visualization in DHIS2 Academy, hosted by HISP Rwanda, brought together Implementers, Data Managers, and M&E team leads from several African countries for an intensive five-day, hands-on training.
Throughout the week, participants practiced creating Pivot Tables, Charts in the Data Visualizer, Maps, and Dashboards, while exploring the Interpretations feature to enhance data use for evidence-based decision-making.
The academy officially concluded on 15 August 2025, with Dr. Mohammed Semakula, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, commending the training’s role in strengthening data-driven decision-making and its contribution to improving citizens’ lives and fostering national development.

Webinar: Implementing a Microplanning Tool for Vaccination.
HISP Rwanda hosted an engaging webinar titled “Digital Transformation of Immunization Micro-Planning in the Central African Republic.”
The event took place on August 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM Bangui Time (lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes) and offered participants an in-depth look at innovative digital solutions improving immunization planning and delivery.
Key discussions included:
Introduction to the DHIS2-based digital micro-planning tool: design, functionality, and user experience
Integration of geospatial data
Cold-chain management for targeted planning
Dashboard visualization: turning data into insights
Challenges faced and innovative solutions adopted
Demonstration of the custom Microplan app for map and report generation
Exploring scalability and adaptation in other regions and countries

Held virtually via Zoom , the session attracted implementers, data managers, and M&E leads from across Africa eager to learn how this innovative tool is addressing real-world challenges in immunization.
