HISP Rwanda Showcases Innovative DHIS2–mSupply eLMIS Solution at DHIS2 Annual Conference 2025

From June 10 to 13, 2025, the University of Oslo in Norway hosted the DHIS2 Annual Conference, a pivotal event gathering global health information system experts and stakeholders. Among the distinguished participants, HISP Rwanda proudly contributed to the conference by highlighting its instrumental role in the successful implementation of an integrated DHIS2–mSupply electronic Logistics Management Information System (eLMIS) for the Ministry of Health of Comoros.

This national digital solution, developed with technical expertise from HISP Rwanda in close collaboration with the HISP Centre at the University of Oslo and the mSupply Foundation, significantly enhances supply chain management. It streamlines the flow of medical supplies from the Central Medical Store directly to health facilities, ensuring more efficient and transparent logistics operations.

HISP Rwanda’s participation underscored its commitment to advancing country-led digital health transformations through innovative partnerships. The Ministry of Health of Comoros’ leadership and trust were vital in facilitating this collaboration, exemplifying strong country ownership of health information systems. The initiative also received crucial financial backing from the World Bank, enabling the realization of this impactful project.

This presentation at the DHIS2 Annual Conference not only celebrated the technical achievements but also highlighted the power of partnership and innovation in strengthening health systems. HISP Rwanda remains dedicated to supporting countries in harnessing digital tools to improve health outcomes and supply chain effectiveness.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Health of Comoros for their collaboration and to all partners who made this milestone possible. This success story is a testament to what can be achieved when expertise, trust, and resources come together to drive sustainable digital health solutions forward. END
