System Description
The HISP EMR is a web-based platform designed to manage the full patient care journey across hospital departments. It enables healthcare providers to capture, store, and access patient information in real time, ensuring continuity of care across services.
The system covers key hospital functions, including:
Patient registration and unique identification
Clinical consultations and diagnosis
Vital signs recording
Laboratory test ordering and results management
Pharmacy and drug stock management
Maternal and pediatric care
Billing and insurance management
Clinical data collected at facility level is structured and integrated into national health information systems, including platforms powered by DHIS2, reducing manual reporting and improving data quality.

An EMR Showroom is used as a live demonstration environment for learning and knowledge sharing
Impact
The implementation of the HISP EMR is improving access to patient information, enabling more informed clinical decisions, and enhancing operational efficiency within hospitals.
The system also supports real-time data availability for health authorities, strengthening monitoring, reporting, and overall health system management in the Central African Republic.
